So , I went to bed early last night and forgot to do my 4th of 5 days of happiness. So here goes. 1) I am happy for the family I have been born into. We are all different and from different parts of the USA and the globe. We are flavorful. We have different views but one goal. We all work hard and love harder. Most people in my family have huge hearts , and enjoy giving and sharing. I think we get it from our elders who have taught us.. Their motto is ... If unnu hungry and have one finga of banana, unno chop it up and share it! I think that has become how we live. Selfishness is a no-no!! 2) I am happy to have been brought up in the presence my grandmother. My grandmother.... Wow, i wish you all could have met her.... She was a spirit you would never forget. She was gentle and kind. She loved and prayed for everyone and anyone. She was nonjudgemental.. You could go to her with any self- created issue. She would listen with a slight smile on her face. She would tell you the truth hug you and tell you to trust God. That is where the answers are. Everyone in the neighborhood called her grandma, Old and young. She introduced God to many who didnt know him. Even the wild boys in the neighborhood were tamed when she walked past them. Theyd say hi Grandma (looking all stupid LOL). She would say, what are you up to.. God bless you son! She loved and prayed for all people.i miss you grandma, Hazel Wilson!! 3) i am grateful for my work family. We have genuine care for one another. We rejoice in each others achievement and support each other during difficult seasons. I am particularly happy that I always seem to work alongside some 60+. See they have so much to offer beside workplace knowledge. They have Life lessons.. This should be treasured. They dont give a damn. Dont need to prove themselves and are not into the rat race! I was blessed to work with my workplace mom, Linda Bond. Observing her has taught me how to stand firm when the ground is crumbling. Observing her has also taught me that life is for us to enjoy...so get up and live!! I was also blessed to work alongside Nora Jongko. This lady has such a passion for life and to serve others. She was my spiritual leader. She provoked thought. She has caused me to have a few sleepless nights... Thinking about her words. She once asked me, Deb, besides serving your kids and your job... What is your passion? What do you enjoy that benefits you? I couldnt answer. She told me to find my passion and go for it....... I am still working on this. Both of this ladies retired. Now I have the blessing of working alongside Susie, who will also be retiring soon. My ears are wide open soaking in some of her life lessons also. The experiences and love i have for the people in 1, 2 and 3 make me very happy. I am blessed!!
