So, I went to see my normal psych today since I recently got the notice from the VA. She explained to me that the VA doctors are no longer allowed to give their input of patients when it comes to claims and ratings. The medical and rating are completely different entities now. The rating people can, and usually do, look at the doctors diagnosis. But, if it doesnt serve their purpose, they dont include it in the reasoning for increasing or decreasing benefits. So, what it boils down to is, the VA was told to cut Veterans benefits, and thats what they do. Good thing there are organizations out there willing to fight for Vets rights, and that Im going to see one of them tomorrow. This whole situation disgusts me. Not just for me, but for every man and woman who served and is suffering because of it. All the while, politicians serve ONE 2-4 year term and receive FULL pay and benefits for the rest of their lives? Priorities are all kinds of messed up in this country
