So, I will never understand how this happened, but last night when the dogs were out in the yard we heard a loud cry. We ran out to see what happened and somehow Zsa Zsa had part of our herb garden folding fence hanging out of her left eye. I could not tell if it was in her eyeball or just pierced the eyelid, but its pretty much the worst thing Ive ever seen. Eva was yelling (howling) at me to do something and I was afraid to take it out in case it was the eye ball. Joe tried to get wire cutters, but didnt have anything strong enough to cut it. She tried shaking her head to get it out and I stopped her, made a wish and pulled it out. We rushed her to the ER. Im also not sure how she got so lucky, but there was no damage to her eyeball. Just a pretty legit battle wound that will hopefully heal quickly. Poor thing. How do they get themselves into these things? Obviously, Joe removed the rest of the fence when we got home. We all got lucky that it wasnt worse. She was the sweetest thing during the entire ordeal too. Sweet, sweet Zsa Zsa.
