So, I will write some thoughts I had lately, and id like come comments by you guys... The Esoterical Traditions and The Alchemical Monad. on the unification of esoterical traditions in the arms of the Art. Before going to the matter at hand, i must say english is not my first language (and, regardless of what you gringos might think, google cannot translate latin languages to english very well...), so, please, grammar nazis, hold thy fingers, for I am not a native speaker! Alas, shall we begin. So, in a quick historical retrospective, we have a tradition that comes from the jewish people and/or the egyptian priests. Why both? Because its an antropological fact that Melquisedec actually existed and passed down to Abraham the traditoon of the cabala and what has been now up until the times of Moses (Akhenaton) as The abrahamic Religion (only with moses judaism woudl arise, you guys know that...). So this Melquisedec stuff ocurred at the same time the egyptian civilization was forming, so, probably both things arose at the same time. Alchemy, however, comes from egypt (you guys must also know about all the Al-Khemia, dark earth, Egypit, Khemetic, etc.., ll about the etimological stuff behind teh word). So, from this, we can link to the greek philosophers: no doubt pytaghoras and others wrote about alchemy, hermeticism AND what has been known as greek cabala, so, now we have the tradition of western esoterism forming itself. Jumping some centuries, we have gnosticism and hermeticism, and, furthermore, we have then the middle age and renaiscence alchemy. Later on we have something that destroyed it all: the rosicrucian tradition. All right, not THE first and true rosicrucian tradition, cause that is just plain and pure alchemy, but the rosicrucian orders that arose from within freemason lodges in england, germany and france. The ones that end up generating the Golden Dawn, which, then, generated people like Crowley and the psychological interpretation of something that once was alchemy. Ok, why did this destroy alchemy? Cause alchemy was open to interpreation and very few people dared to say it was all about laboratory work, or about spiritual stuff, or about magic, or...etc...Now, in the 1800s, people decided, out of nothing, that it was spiritual. Lacking proff for that, quickly enough it went to the psychological field. But...they didnt decide it out of nothing, did they? The phony rosicrucian tradition among freemasons, and the later Golden Dawn and Thelemic tradition base themselves on...one little book written by one alchemist. The Sacred Magic of Abramelim! The one that talks about the communion with the Holy Guardian Angel. So...i guess my conclusion to this is that now-days occultism is based upon 1800s ideas (thats why it sounds like science...it came from a positivistic era...from which mesmer was almost a scientist ¬¬), and 1800s occultism is based almost solely in the communion with teh Holy Guardian Angel and the cabala. Very few people, like Blavatsky of Kardec, went for eastern ideologies, but thats another topic... So, this was very basic, and I dont want to expand this, lest we would have a big ass post. However, I know that this is the internet and no one will say that im right about anything, not even if I say 1+1=2. So, let the criticism flow! (really, Id like a discussion about this..it seems pretty interesting). P.S. some of you may ask why did you put a Dio image?. Because he was the avatar of metal and the most awesome human being ever.
