So I woke up this morning to the most wonderful smell. Homemade sour dough bread rising. Its beginning to smell a lot like Christmas ! There is nothing quite like that smell..... Homemade bread, and Im really not one of those true bread lovers, but if youve never had THIS bread,you are missing a treat. I had let my starter die, but I started another from scratch and its been fermenting in the fridge for two weeks and when we went to my sisters for Thanksgiving, I made sure I got a cup of her starter in case mine didnt ferment right,but Hey Jack , I dun good and SHA ZAM , Ill be baking three loaves by the afternoon. Its perfect to prepare for the big celebration thats coming! Its special and brings great memories of mama and the big house....waking up to that wonderful smell of bread made with lots of love. As we prepare for this wonderful celebration , we should not expect to see Him in the heavens or hear crashing symbols , but He comes quietly like a whisper so dont be so loud and angry that you miss His coming. Remember you and I will find Him in simple memories and the quietness of our heart. Be sure to listen.....Hes there,I promise! So remember, let us not get so uppity and sophisticated that we forget that simple scene at that simple place with two simple and ordinary parents, and a tiny precious baby that changed the world forever on that simple night! Super Saturday to you , Buttercups!! Today Im going to be decorating our naked tree, wrapping gifts, enjoying Christmas music, and I might sneak one slice of that delicious homemade bread!! Who in their right mind wouldnt love Christmas??
