So I worked all day yesterday getting brugs into the crawlspace. - TopicsExpress

So I worked all day yesterday getting brugs into the crawlspace. Im now covered in bruises and double jointed in places I never was, much to my husbands delight. Getting myself into that tiny basement window is quite the task, never mind the plants. I had to become a contortionist. Ive got 14 of my brugs in there to this point and had to cut many of them back further than I usually do to do it. Guess well see if that delays my blooms next year. Ive got at least another 16+ to go of big plants and then I have to decide what to do with my 1 year olds. They are more green than anything and Im just not sure theyll survive the winter in there. With way, way, way too many plants this year, I may not have a choice. :( I did lop off some heads and usually make my giveaways for next year this way. They are bubbling away. Oh, if you guys are looking for something to put your plants on indoors to keep the floors protected, I highly recommend boot trays. You can get them at Lowes, Home Depot, even Walmart I think. I have a ton of them and use them every year. Theyre great. One plant that wont be making the cut is my Xena. This is a plant that I chopped the rootball off of and water rooted over last winter. As you can see, it has some kind of problem. It blossomed beautifully too this year, youd never know it wasnt healthy. Sad to see the ole gal go, she was my strongest grower when I started and has a trunk that is at least 3 in diameter if not bigger.
