So INTO THE WOODS: Actually its shockingly fabulous, wasnt sure Id feel this way, but I LOVED IT... This show is my childhood, so its difficult to imagine any way but the original. Of course not the stage version, there are cuts and lacks a lot of the bite of act 2, but its well sung, nuanced singing, not pop-sounding for once in a revival or movie musical, more naturally acted, but clearly as a choice and I think the actors make it work well, though I miss some of the double entendre as such.
