So Id like to propose an idea to the people of Catasauqua. There are so many gay youth coming out since my days in high school and a lot of them are being put out on the street for being gay or bi. They end up doing very very bad things to survive. I feel we as a community need to unite and accept them for who they are, they are our children our future it could be your son or daughter. So for the Halloween parade Id like to do an equality/diversity pride float. It will also boost awareness of the Trevor project and the great works they do. For those of you who dont know the Trevor project is a youth help line. They will help anyone who calls for help or guidance but they do amazing work in the lgbt community and I feel word needs to spread. Love is love who are we to judge and neglect these children. No real parent or friend would I had the support and acceptance I needed to be ok in my life its time I did something to give back to the next generation. I promise it does get better. Please help me spread the word get my float in the parade it may just save a life.
