So Im at The Varsity for lunch yesterday. A guy stops by and asks if Im familiar with the area. I nod yes then he sits down and this is part of his streaming speech (Im dont say anything during all of this) He barely breathes between words.) Im supposed to be in Jasper. Im a contractor. Was checking on a house in Inman Park. Its the most beautiful Victorian there. You ought to see it! Got back to my truck and my window was broken out and all my things were stolen. Took Atlanta Police 1 hour and 45 minutes to respond. They wouldnt do anything. I live in Jasper. This goes on for several more minutes. I finally say, Its a nice story but Im not feeling it. (Though early on I thought I might be able to spare a few dollars for him.) He immediately says, Sorry for taking up your time, and is gone before I can say anything. After all that Im thinking, I wonder if I give him pointers on how to keep a can you help me out story short and simple.....
