So Im at Walmart (on the first Sunday of the month....dumb, dumb, dumb) talking on the phone to my friend Sue, when out of nowhere this stack of boxes jumps in front of my cart. Boxes of unsold Halloween candy go toppling into the potato chip display, causing chip carnage. Fortunately, no Snickers were damaged. I continue to the deli counter after a store employee tells me he can handle the clean-up. Still on the phone, I attempt to pull a number off the spool and the whole thing comes flying out of the dispenser and starts rolling through the produce department, under the bananas, between the legs of the potato and onion bin, coming to rest next to the iceberg lettuce. Sue hangs up on me because she cant hear me anymore due to the background laughter. Apparently its funny watching an old lady chase a roll of numbered tickets through the vegetable bins. The deli lady who has to re-roll 30 ft.of numbered tickets is not amused and declines my offer to help. Five or six people later when my number comes up I draw her. She has recovered her sense of humor and gives me directions to Publix. There are some really funny people at Walmart once you introduce yourself properly.
