So Im finishing up at the grocery store last night at 12:24am (truck brakes went out so cliff and his dad were working on that and I feared I wouldnt have a car today), and 4 young guys came in and wanted to use coin star. The cashier and I were literally the only 2 people in giant. I just had that feeling so I went quickly to my car when i was done and literally threw my groceries in (sorry-eggs!). I kept my eyes in them as they came out- and pulled their car closer to me but not right beside. I acted very confident and kept my eye out while tossing the bags anywhere I could, and praying God would surround me. When it was time to go around to my side I remembered reading once to enter thru the passenger door, not caring what you looked like. I did just that and immediately locked the doors. W/in 1 second they sped off. I drove the other way while my heart pounded. Lessons: 1- dont go to the store late when youll be the only person in the parking lot! 2- ask someone to go w you or follow you (no one was around... I might call Giant about this- also to protect their cashier!) 3- do NOT care what people may think of you when you just dont feel right Who knows if anything would have happened but I am thanking God that nothing did.
