So, Im going to address this once. Hopefully one time, is the only time Ill need to say this... (And this is public for everyone to read! Hooray!) I work for En Pointe Dancewear and Accessories. I have now for almost 3 1/2 years. I have met many teachers, studios, students, and customers who have either supported my mothers business, or been a presence in my life. I would never intentionally harm a relationship, or cause any problems, because thats just NOT who I am. In the end, this is my mothers store and reputation, not mine. I may be another face of this business, but it still isnt mine. What I choose to do outside of this job, does not make it okay to be talked about. Whether you THINK you know me, or you dont. I do freelance photography, makeup, and hair styling. Why? Because its fun, and I enjoy it. And guess who I see approximately 40 hours of my week? Dancers and their families. So of course, the families I connect with, I am going to extend these other services to them. Why? Because its a fun experience, and cheaper for them than going to a well known photography studio. It gives me practice to fine tune my hobbies that I adore, and a chance to get to know my customers outside of my full time job. (And I might add, I absolutely love every single parent and kid Ive met working at EPD and doing photography. Its as simple as that.) I do not cater to one side, or the other. Every single person who approaches me, gets my very best work. I treat everyone with the utmost respect, and I form my opinion and thoughts around what I experience, versus what I hear. (As it should be for everyone.) So, before anyone goes and assumes Im doing x for y or Im betraying x because of y, please take a moment to read this, and my Works at part on my Facebook page. I adore my job, and the people I meet every single day. I studied at David Pressley, and Royal Oak High School, which only strengthened my love for hair, makeup, and photography/graphic design. I happen to freelance on the side, because its FUN, and I love the people who hire me. Where I work, who I work for, and what I do for them, is a separate entity from EP and their business relations.
