So, Im home now. I have to write a sweet little status update about this vacation I just took before I go to bed. YES, I took a vacation in my backyard....so to speak. You all know I like to support local :) sooooooo, Hank went out of town, and I booked a condo at the Wharf in Orange Beach. It turned out to be one of the most memorable and wonderful vacations I have ever had. I had ABSOLUTELY NO idea how awesome for children this place really is. Not only is the water park THE BOMB (it has a wave pool, a kiddie pool with slides, a zero entry pool, a BIG lazy river, a full grill, a full bar, a volleyball beach, etc), but the ferris wheel and the adventure park is awesome too. There is a restaurant and bar for EVERYONE. And a fabulous coffee shop. There are games to play out by the boats in the marina, and 3 nights out of 5 there was a great band jamming at night out by the boats. They also close down the main street and let all the children have DJd dance contests and hoola hoop contests in between the incredible light shows. Did I mention there is an arcade with several games for toddlers....guaranteed to win? We didnt get a chance to hit the movie theater up- Boone might be a little too young to do that anyway. Im telling you- it was truly awesome. The amount of money we spent on the condo rate was WELL BELOW going to Waterville even once while on vacation somewhere else. I had several friends join us throughout the stay that made it even more awesome than it already was. I would share some pictures with you, but for ONCE in my life, I put the camera down, and I dove in with them head first. I didnt pause to take a picture or tell them to stop what they were doing and smile for me. I just played, and laughed, and hugged, and kissed and splashed, and lived, and passed out with them at night. I LOVED THE WHARF!!!!!! TOTALLY worth the stay.
