So Im minding my own business working on my pieces . Its 2 am and even I45 is pretty quiet outside my window. I go outside to take a little break while my sizing dries on the bronze and sit down on the front step. I see something odd. An SUV in the parking lot with its flashers on and in the next parking lot two music tour buses(easy to spot). Then from the side of the SUV this dark skinned individual pops up with a 4 way tire tool and starts walking briskly away as these 2 light skinned men from the band tour bus start to circle him. Im still on the steps wishing I had a cold coke and that what was unfolding in front of me wasnt happening. Then one of the light skinned guys peels off towards me and asks me Do you work here?. I look over where the dark skinned man with the iron tire tool is and the 2nd light skinned guy has him stopped and they are talking. Its looking tense. So I say Yes I work here. Then I ask why they were approaching the dark skinned man. And he told me it all looked suspicious and he had had his truck stolen in Nashville a few months earlier and didnt want to see anybody else go through that. I admit. ..it did look suspicious. The 2nd light skinned man walks back with the dark skinned man and the light skinned man crawls under the SUV and begins to explain how to get the spare out from under the SUV. But he cant find the special key so they ask me if I have one of those special tools that spin down the tire and we look in my car and I dont have one. Then another SUV pulls up and another dark skinned man jumps out and you can tell the two different skin tones were feeling a little tense at 2 am with no one knowing each other. Then I asked who the light skinned guys were traveling with and they say Clint Black. And the whole atmosphere changed. The sound guy and the road manager for Clint Black helped the stranded motorist. And they were polite and helped get it done. Then they invited me on the tour bus where I got my cold coke with Legend written on the side which I took back to where I am working and am enjoying before I get back to gold gilding my bronze. I got my coke! See? Wishes do come true! (Oh thats the road Mgr for Clint Black taking pictures of the bronzes).
