So Im officially back in Canada after my month long European adventure (a.k.a Eurotour 2014). Even though it’s been nice to be back in my own bed, it’s been a tough 48 hours. I guess I have to reflect a little- my apologies for the incoherent ramble that’s about to come your way (I’m still pretty sick). In the span of one month, I toured around The Netherlands, Norway, and England. I saw flower parades, parliaments, fjords, giant horse markets, and the inside of too many clubs to count. But, more importantly than all of that, I saw my best friends in the world. Ones who, somehow, I had managed to live away from for four years. I can’t even begin to tell you how amazing it was to be able to hug them and tell them I loved them IRL (although Skype HAS been a lifesaver up until now). I thought about all of you every single day, and even though it’s been less than 48 hours since I’ve left, I still haven’t stopped thinking about you since. To everyone that hosted me at their houses in the last month, thanks so much. You helped goofy me be able to afford all of the travels, and provided such friendly faces and warmth along the way. I only hope that one day you all will make it across the pond and I’ll get a chance to host you too. To everyone that made time out of their busy schedules to see me, you made the trip worthwhile. Again, it wasn’t about the places, it was about the people. (Although, seeing all of these amazing places was pretty rad too!) It’s amazing after four years how nothing really changes. Sure, we’re all a little taller, and maybe a LITTLE more mature, but the fact that my month was filled with laughter, smiles, jokes, late nights, and early mornings from beginning to end really says something. Hell, the fact that no matter where I was, I was always cuddling up to someone at night should tell you that real friendships don’t just end because of a little time change. Lastly, to the universe, if you think you’re keeping me away from these folks for another four years… Well, we’ll see about that. ;) Remember how I said I’d come someday baby? How I said I’d come around to see you one day? I said I’d try to find a way to run away, I’d get away some day.
