So Im running at citizens park. I see this young girl who I thought was done running standing on the trail fiddling with her headphones, I cruise past her not thinking much of it. I get a few hundred yards away and get a glimpse of her catching up to me fast. Me being fat, yet competitive pick up the pace to the point I think I am about to die. She keeps gaining ground though. I finally hit a portion of the trail that goes into the woods and dive behind a tree, too fat and out of breath to continue but too proud to concede defeat. I lie there motionless as she speeds past me. Once the coast was clear I resume my run but at a much slower speed. I maintain I won, it was not my fault she did not realize, one, that we were racing and two, there was a hide and go seek element in the game.
