So Im sitting here thinking about dancing. What it was like when I first started and now. My first night dancing, I knew my life would be changed. Sometimes looking back it hurts, my family wouldnt accept me, friends from school stopped talking to me, broke up with my highschool sweetheart, and two girls I met within the first few months that I became best friends with, ended up having drug and other problems from getting wrapped up in the club life. When i first started I was a shy 18 year old girl. Had never been on this side of the tracks. I was overwhelmed by the difference between here and the back mountain bubble. I lived in a motel for a while at only 18. Had no vehicle. Was at my all time low. But thats also when my life really began. I met Sean my first night dancing at the good ole Getaway Lounge and he thought hed be able to take me home for the night. Lol little did he know that wasnt gonna happen and little did he know hed fall in love. He took me in. Saved me. Ive met so many amazing people. Ive done so many amazing things and have been able to travel to so many places. Ive had so many great opportunities. Honestly if It wasnt for dancing I wouldnt be anywhere close to who I am today. Im proud of myself.
