So Im tired of people saying the 1960s was the era of Wilt and Russell playing against 66 white centers. This couldnt be further from the truth. I would also like you to keep in mind that there were 8 teams when the 60s started and 14 when it ended but they were still playing 75+ games. Wilt and Russell faced these guys A LOT Bill Russell was 69 3/4 barefoot. When he stands next to KG hes almost as tall and KG is 71. Walt Bellamy was a black 611 (barefoot) hall of FAME center who Wilt scored 73 points on. Nate Thurmond was also a 611 hall of fame black center. The guy Wilt scored 100 on? 610 Darrall Imhoff. Wayne Embry... 68 barefoot. John Kerr... 69 barefoot. Willis Reed... 69 barefoot. Jerry Lucas... 68 barefoot. Lets keep in mind in todays NBA the players are measured WITH shoes. So all of these heights would be inflated an inch to 1.5 inches today. For perspective Dwight Howard is 69 barefoot, but listed at 611
