So, Im walking down Oak Park Avenue ... and this woman in a HUGE white SUV pulls out of the alley in front of about 5 pedestrians, and just stops. Blocking the sidewalk. Like , if we kept walking straight down the sidewalk, we would be in the passenger seat. The passenger door opens, and her teenage daughter jumps out and walks over to the dry cleaner—presumably to pick something up. We pedestrians had to walk out into the street to get around her. There is an empty parking space 10 feet away. As I walk around her vehicle, she interrupts her phone conversation to yell at us out her car window, Sorry! Im just waiting for my daughter... I stopped, and said, she looks pretty fit, dont you think she could have made it from that parking space right there? She got all indignant and said, Im only going to be here a minute! I snapped.
