So, Im watching the Buddy Holly Story on one of the 8 billion channels on DirecTV, because Im sick to death of watching bad football, and a funny thing happened. Ive been super grouchy all weekend, and Rissy came in the door coming back from Michaels with Brooke, and I said, Thats why Im so grouchy this weekend...my daughters have been gone the entire time. (And they have). Children just have a way of making life fun no matter what is going on. And so back to Buddy Holly...theres Buddy in his fancy NYC apt, being badgered by his manager to go on tour and he doesnt want to, and hes annoyed by everything and his wife, because hes trying hard to write new music and its not working. Then 2 kids down the hall of his building knock on the door. One of the boys got a guitar for Christmas and said it was broken. So he lets them in and sits down with them. Tunes the guitar, talks a bit, and his whole attitude and world lights back up. He tells the boy hes going to teach him one of the first songs he wrote. Heres the song.
