So Ive got a topic to discuss with my dog and Vizsla behavior friends. Here it is: My 5-year-old male, George has always been an omega....meek, shy, humble, friendly and easy going...non aggressive and non-competitive. Now all of the sudden his behavior is changing. Hes digging out of the yard, getting into trouble and today on our group walk in the neighborhood (a group of us ladies and sometimes up to six dogs) he showed his teeth to one of the other dogs on the walk. This is totally unlike him. Has anyone else had a dog that had sudden changes in his or her personality? The only thing I can attribute that has changed in Georges life is that Gracie (our alpha) has been ill lately. Is he stepping up to the plate to be the new alpha? What does everyone think?
