So! Ive have been overwhelmed on FB, Twitter, through my website and email with responses to the documentary. Ive been teary for days. Im very humbled by the whole thing. The thing is, Ive had a quite a few people say that the doco stopped them from doing something serious. While this is in theory lovely, the message of the doco remains the same: help is available and important that you seek it out. There is no suicidal thought too small to go and talk to someone. This documentary is not a long term solution, but rather a springboard for us all to take mental health seriously. Ive listed some numbers and websites below which may help. They have online forums which can be helpful if you live in remote areas and need to connect with someone, there are hotlines, there is information available about all sorts of illnesses so we can all be better educated. If youve found one thats been of particular help to you, feel free to post it in the comments section so others can benefit from your experience too. Lets continue the conversation and start to take action.
