So...Ive noticed that in the world of online dating many girls put a height requirement when stating what theyre looking for in a guy (sometimes quite bluntly: Guys, if youre under 510 then dont bother... etc.). My question is: why is this considered any less tacky than if a guy were to list a weight requirement when stating what he was looking for? Why is it deemed less insulting, particularly when height is a feature that one cannot really change? (For the record, I think both are tacky and rude. But since I dont ever see any guys profiles--for obvious reasons--I dont know whether it is a common phenomenon or not among men who do the online dating thing) Also, Im not posting this because some taller lady spurned my advances or anything! haha! It just struck me one day when I kept noticing it on a significant number of girls profiles. So Im genuinely curious to hear responses, particularly from ladies, on this.
