So... Life is interesting... Perhaps the year is wrapping up to show me what resilience really is... and perhaps it had to take a few tragedies to enlighten me to the necessity of self-preservation. If youve missed me, be certain that I have missed you too. From a automobile tragedy to a personal family tragedy, to two nigh-apocalyptic hand injuries (on either hand) to struggling with only being half-employed for the last almost 5 months and endeavoring to support a family of four on one paycheck and a seemingly endless pile of unwavering hope. My 30th year has given me more than another solid decade beneath my belt; its given me perspective and an alternative sense of what it is I value. It has given me a strict fear of both fire and knives. Of rushing, of not considering the self-detriment of my actions. It has reminded me the many ways that I am needed, even if the voice to ask isnt there. If youve missed my lattes, Ill be working at Terrain in Westport, when Im not sparkling at Stoked in Blackrock.
