So Many Updates! Please Read!!!!! Have a great week! Hello Hartville Elementary PTO parents! Hope your child had a wonderful Halloween party! They all looked super cute!! PTO is fast into Christmas events with many things coming up! Below are upcoming events plus an update on the playground fund. Upcoming at Hartville Elementary: Nov. 1 thru 15 - Kid Stuff Coupon Books (100% of profits will go towards playground fund!) Great idea for gift giving! Nov. 6 - PTO Meeting at 7pm in HE teachers lounge Nov. 11 - Recycle/Nature Christmas Ornament contest Nov. 11 - Yearbook Candid photos Nov. 26 - Kindergarten Thanksgiving Feast & program Nov. 27 - PTO uses the ornaments the students have made from the contest to decorate our school Christmas tree Nov. 28 - Dec. 2 - NO SCHOOL Dec. 3 thru 7 - Secret Santa Shop ~ an informational letter will be coming home with your students shopping day at the end of November. All items at the Secret Santa Shop have been purchased from local businesses (Claires, Bath & Body Works, Yankee Candle, Target, 31 bags, JoAnns, ...) over the past year with PTO parents. All of these items will range from $ .50 to $5.00. Dec. 4 - PTO Meeting at 3:30 in the HE teachers lounge Dec. 4 thru 7 - Holiday Book Fair ~ a flyer with information will be sent home Dec. 6 - Popcorn Day .25/bag Dec. 7 - Santas Breakfast ~ look for more information in November as reservations will be needed before the event Dec. 20 - Christmas Parties Dec. 23 thru Jan. 3 - NO SCHOOL Jan. 8 - PTO Meeting at 3:30pm in HE teachers lounge Jan. 25 - National Honor Society students will host a Spaghetti Dinner for the playground...mark your calendar now! Playground Update: PTO applied for a grant for the playground a few weeks ago. Last week, PTO was awarded that grant from Game Time for $38,000 towards the playground. We have to match this 100% and we will have the main play equipment paid for! We continue to need support from our parents and community to reach this monetary amount. We signed the contract last week to order the equipment and it will be shipped by the end of the year. We wont be able to install until next summer. We STILL need to raise money for our matching 100% to this grant, removal of old equipment, installing the new, preparing the area for new, plus we would love to be able to purchase new swings as part of this project too!!! We continued to receive money each week and have already received monetary donations from many HE families and local business! (Taylor family, Brinkerhoff family, Miller family, Lisy family, Gullace family, Robinson family, Mrs. Wendorfs class, Starkey Law Firm, CrossFit Utility, Hartville Hardware, Hartville Marketplace, Huntington Bank, PNC Bank, & VitaNet) We are so excited for the students at Hartville Elementary to have this awesome place to play next year!!!
