So Matt didnt record the beginning & my sister didnt let me talk - TopicsExpress

So Matt didnt record the beginning & my sister didnt let me talk before she dumped the bucket on me, so Ill just say what I have to say here! Ok so first I just wanna say how thankful I am for being apart of the ice bucket challenge. Not only have I learned so much more about a disease that I knew of but didnt know much about, it has also opened up my eyes to a lot. After learning what ALS truly is and what it does to a person, I found myself feeling deeply disappointed in myself. As you may know, I went through a pretty tough miscarriage in the beginning of this year. Its still taking its toll on me, not only physically but emotionally as well. Ive also recently been diagnosed with Graves Disease (hyperactive thyroid gland). I find myself waking up and not wanting to get out of bed bc Im too tired, or not wanting to go to work bc Im tired and dont feel well, or Ill refuse to do things bc Im scared my anxiety will be too bad. I feel guilty. Bc there are people who are living with ALS, and other life altering situations, who would give anything to get out of bed and start their day early, or get up and go to work and enjoy it, or would love to try new things each and every day. I am more blessed than I realize. I may be dealing with a sickness but I still am able to live my life and I have the choice to love it. I will have a more positive outlook on life and that is a promise. My prayers are with everyone living with ALS and their family and friends. Having said that, I challenge Mercedes Martinez Isabel Alvarado Lopez Daniel Casas and Carmen Casas. I challenge yall not only to the ice bucket challenge, but I also challenge you guys and everyone else who reads this to thank God everyday for your blessings, and to having a more positive outlook on everything! Also here is the link to donate alsa.org/donate/ You have 24 hours, good luck!
