So Mira and Nike are laying peacefully under my feet, when I - TopicsExpress

So Mira and Nike are laying peacefully under my feet, when I realize I smell Bounce - the laundry sheet fabric softener. I look around to see that Guinness has just joined me, and sure enough, his breath smells Outdoors Fresh. Further investigation reveals my jumbo, Sams club box of Bounce has been attacked and dryer sheets are all over the living room floor. I look up information on Proctor and Gambles site relating to medical emergencies relating to their product and they do have an emergency number to call in case of accidental ingestion. Im trying to figure out how anything could accidentally eat dryer sheets (especially with his history, I think it was a purposeful act on his part), when the P&G person answers the phone. After gathering details, she puts me on hold and seeks more information. About 2 minutes later she returns to tell me P&G has no information on the toxic affects of an animal ingesting Bounce 4 in 1 Outdoor Fresh dryer sheets. She gives me an animal poison control number to call and tells me they will charge me $65 for the call but will stay with me through resolution.... So I call poison control at 888-426-4435 and once they confirm that I can tell them the lot # on the Bounce box, they inform me that P&G has told them they will cover the $65 charge for any calls about animals with their products. Interesting. Long story shorter, I got him to vomit ( pouring hydrogen peroxide over peanut butter does not fool Guinness - I had to force him to drink some) he successfully vomited and showed virtually no signs of dryer towels still in tact. I was next instructed to give him Pepcid for the next 7 days to help settle his tummy as the chemicals could cause some pretty impressive upset... A good ending to this story.
