So NYCs policy of stop and frisk, that is, pulling people aside - TopicsExpress

So NYCs policy of stop and frisk, that is, pulling people aside and searching them without probable cause of any wrongdoing, was ruled as a violation of the 4th amendment by this judge and halted. Makes sense, right? Wrong. A federal appeals court not only overturned her ruling, but removed her from the case in any way, citing that her impartiality may be in question. Stopping someone and laying hands on them without any probable cause is a violation of their God given constitutional rights, period. This is not hard to understand. The reason it was overturned is nothing more than a self empowering government feeling it has the authority to reach further into our lives despite our written guarantee to the contrary.
