So! November is National Novel Writing Month, or abbreviated as NaNoWriMo. There is a website (nanowrimo.org/) dedicated to this month. The goal is to write a 50,000 word novel in 1 month, starting at midnight on November 1st. Nothing is really won exactly, so much as the satisfaction of having been able to actually do it. They do declare you a winner, though everyone else who completes the challenge is also called a winner. And yes, it possible that someone could cheat. For example, I already have a 43k word novel (incomplete) that I am writing, and I could cheat and enter it instead of something from scratch. They dont read your novel, and they even request that you scramble it up before sending it in for a computer scanned word count. But wheres the fun in cheating? Besides, I have plenty of ideas for lengthy novels that Ive scribbled on paper or whatever. I could use those ideas to write something. :D Anyway, as you can probably tell, Im pumped up about this. I thoroughly enjoy writing. I cant wait for the 1st of November! :D :D :D
