So Overtime calls me at the asscrack of dawn to offer me a shift that, apparently, Im not allowed to take. Wtf. Someone please explain to me WHY they dont let you take ANY overtime or swaps when youre on a training shift. Its the dumbest thing ever. Especially since Im NOT a new hire, nor am I on any type of probation, its the first week of the new bid (for which I bid a MORNING line, yet theyre training me at night) AND I dont start until 1:30pm... but, due to a late call-out, I presume, youre desperately trying to cover a 5-10:30am shift. And Im willing to work it. But I cant... because Im training. Dumb. Dumb dumb dumb, dumb dumb. What does our contract say about this??!!?! Oh, thats right. WE DONT HAVE A CONTRACT. Smh. Meanwhile, I cant even fall back to sleep...
