So Sig Hutchinson admitted on WRAL that he and the rest of the Democratic Wake County Commissioner candidates want to raise taxes to provide more services. Awesome! So basically they want eastern Wake and the rest of the County to fund a light rail system for Raleigh (which Raleigh has already planned for BTW)? That is why the transportation plan has gone no where at the County level. It is not a true County wide plan! I am for increasing transportation options but the Democrat Commissioners do not want to even consider cheaper alternatives like express bus service. If Democrats take control of ONE MORE SEAT on the Wake County Board of Commissioners be prepared for your taxes to rise. We need to keep Joe Bryan, Phil Matthews, Paul Coble, and Rich Gianni who will balance the needs of the entire County not just Raleigh.
