So... Since the introduction of YOUTUBE - Ive seen some of the most bizarre, funny, sad, and interesting things- but never in my life have I EVER seen such a look as a man has when he takes a leap of faith- and ventures to make a very big- and very public wedding proposal- and gets REJECTED!!! I dont know, but it seems like if I werent pretty darn well certain that shed say yes- I wouldnt try it- and sure as HECK wouldnt make such a big public show out of it. How awful that must feel. Has anyone I know ever had such a thing happen before? And if so, would you ever do it again? (Or, has anyone I know ever had to be the one doing the public rejection?) (And of course, I dont really expect honest answers here, being public as well) but hey- if youre brave enough to chance that type of rejection in public- admitting that it happened seems like a small thing by comparison. I gotta give respect though, for giving it a whirl. In my mind- (and folks, tell me what you think) - BUT- most if the time, (and acknowledging there are exceptions to everything) If you think you know the person youre about to ask-(well enough) to think marriage is up - at that point, shouldnt you have a pretty good idea whether or not shes likely to say yes or no? (Disclaimer: Im not judging anybody, and Ive never experienced anything anywhere close to such a rejection, so Im no authority on the matter. But I would imagine that if youre about to ask, then surely this isnt the first time the topic has ever come up between the couple. Ladies- keep this in mind if youre wondering why your man is dragging his feet! (Or if youre disappointed because the proposal he did make wasnt big enough, public enough or romantic enough.) I wonder if these things are better asked in private?
