So. That there New Years Eve. Ours included kids and wives and meals out in Kendal, in the lovely Lake District. Castles. Wine. Waffles. Homeys Clint Britz and Richard Dykes, naturally. Kids and wives retiring to the drawing room. It included not one but three party boozers that couldve been straight out of Phoenix Nights, it included a copious amount of non-brand whisky and white rum, mince pie beer, a pub landlord dressed like Timmy Mallett but with a far less cheery personality, it included a Scottie dog called Sky that would high-5 customers while standing on two legs, it included the finest covers band Ive possibly ever seen (and a world-beating beard), involved embracing the drummer of said band like a long-lost brother, hugging a lot of Kendal-based strangers generally and drinking fine whiskies and dreadful black sambuccas until well into the early hours. And what photographic evidence did I have on my phone this morning...? ENJOY.
