So, Walmart, despite being a multibillion dollar company, - TopicsExpress

So, Walmart, despite being a multibillion dollar company, apparently operates on an archaic inventory system where they cannot look up an item by scanning, instead must go through thousands of receipts individually to find an item if you lost the receipt. And that is only if you know the day you purchased the item. I bought the item over a month ago, I have an idea of what day I bought it, but unfortunately, Im not 100% sure. Great. You know, I am not going to miss WalMart when we go to Japan. Im half tempted to make them look it up, just to mess with them, but it isnt the employees fault that the system is so stupid. I worked at Hastings, which is still on DOS, and you could scan any item in the store and it would tell you everything about it, when it entered the store, when it was sold, and you could look it up by receipt within a few minutes. That was nine years ago. Get with the ages, Walmart. Why do I shop at your store anyway? I dont have any idea other than I am a slave to convenience like every other person in this day and age. Ok, rant over.
