So, We will see how the NCAA puts together the first college football playoff bracket, and I love this! We have a group of people that will put the top 4 teams (regardless of record) in a playoff system. This is what has been broke with college football for years! This is the reason why the #8 seed wins the Stanley Cup or a Wild Card team wins the Super Bowl. Here are my quick thoughts. To all my FSU fans - Congrats on a perfect season. In a world based on Wins/Loses - You are #1. However, the reason this committee was put together was for the years and years of discussions of Who is the BEST team - and yes, the best team is NOT defined by Win/Loss record. I know, that doesnt make sense, but those are the rules of the game. If you think you ARE the best team in the country - Then it shouldnt matter to you where you are seeded.... I personally dont think FSU can beat Bama or the Ducks. Bama and ORE are the best ALL AROUND teams in the country. and I my opinion deserve to be #1 and #2! FSU should come in #3 and the #4 spot goes to.......... THE OHIO STATE University! - And why? The committee has stated that Conf Championships will play a big role. Show me another team that won their conferences with their #2 QB playing most of the year.... and then their #3 QB playing in the Conf Champ game and, oh BTW - Winning 59-0 in that game.... and a defense that held the #1 RB in the country to 76 yards and ZERO TDs.
