So Xander was assessed by a paediatrician today. She said his motor development is slow and his limbs are a bit floppy for a child of his age. He is very long and heavy yet his head circumfrence is out of proportion to his size. She took blood to check for genetic disorders thst could cause excessive growth and slow development. She has also referred him to a specialist paediatrician for more detailed assessments and also physiotherapy and occupational therapy and extensive hearing and sight tests. She said his interaction with people is good so doubts he has learning difficulties and suspects the delays are physical (hearing tests due to very little babbling and not saying any words)
