So a 67 year old male resides in a nursing home. EMS is called for - TopicsExpress

So a 67 year old male resides in a nursing home. EMS is called for an abnormal EKG. On scene EMS finds out the abnormal EKG we were called for was done 7 days prior. The only difference between this one and the one 7 days ago is the rate was 105. Besides the Sinus Tach I only notice some T wave inversion. The Arrhythmia notation on the EKG is false. It pulled that from the spacing from the end of the EKG in V4-6. Rhythm stayed regular throughout. Havent heard the official diagnosis but I was leaning toward sepsis and CHF exacerbation. Temp of 100 oral, lower lobes diminished with crackles and lethargy are the obvious signs/symptoms. My question is are there EKG indications for sepsis and acute CHF? My preliminary thought is the T wave inversion is the indication for the CHF since the PT denied any chest pain. PT history includes CHF, and CABG.
