So a certain TD and Minister of State at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade with responsibility for Trade and Development was canvassing for the the Labour Partys European Candidate for Dublin, outside Connolly Station this morning. I asked him for his thoughts on his Government allowing nearly €500 million of funds from the Local Property Tax to be used to set up the Water Board, instead of funding Local Authorities which was the purpose of the LPT in the first place. His response was that this didnt happen and when I told him it was a matter of public record he all but told me I was a liar and an eejit. The irony of an eejit lying to me outside the Water Boards brand new offices isnt lost on me either. If your around town in the coming days and you see Mr. Costello you might remind him that what goes on in Dail Eireann is public Record and in there a thing called the interweb where you can get transcripts of the proceedings for free.
