So a friend called me earlier to day concerned about my FB post. Their expression of concern came from a real position of love. Their advise Yo T now that you are a principal you have to stop posting radical revolutionary stuff. You know the DOE and others scan the FB of employees. My response was thanks for the love. But my complete response is: NEVER! first, as a Muslim we are required to fight against injustice, and when we cant fight we are required to speak out against it and if this isnt possible we have to hate it in our hearts (not a direct quote), but simply hating it in our heart is the weakest response. So no, I will not turn my back on what Allah requires of me. Two, I am who I am and where I am because of Allah and my people, all oppressed people and all people who believe in freedom and liberation....inshAllah I will never betray them for a job!..Yes, I promised my mom I would try not to curse so much LOL but I will sand the way Allah has taught me to stand. I will take people like April Leong as my rile model and speak truth to power. I will not betray my students from BCHS and keep my mouth shut. ISREL IS WRONG! I STAND WITH THE PEOPLE OF GAZA! THE US GOVERNMENT SUPPORTS STATE SPONSORED TERRORISM1 EDUCATION MUST LEAD DIRECTLY TOWARD LIBERATION...HASTA LA VICTORIA PARA SIEMPRE........THIS DOESNT MAKE ME SPECIAL NOR DOES IT MAKE ME WORTHY OF ANY SPECIAL APPRECIATION.
