So a news anchor goes on the air to announce to his viewers that he has 4-6 months to live due to untreatable brain cancer. I had to take a moment to absorb that and think about how I would handle knowing there was a cap on my life like that . I think we wake up everyday with a sense of having infinite time to do things. Time to make things right with people, time to show people we love them or see that old friend or family member weve neglected , time to do the things weve dreamed of etc. We utter phrases like One Day or Ill get to it or Maybe once I have this I can do that ...and we always think we have soooo much time and yet the minutes turn to hours which turn to days, weeks months and years. When we watch children grow from infants to college students in what seems like some crazy time lapse film that all happens in minutes...we realize how quickly time passes. But if a doctor told me TODAY I had until March and that was it, that was all the time I had ..if there was a CAP put on my life and that during this time I was saying my good-byes to all my family , friends and earthly ways....WOW. It must be doubly frightening for those with no belief in anything after this life. To know that you were about to just cease existing and then just gone.
