So... a while back I applied for one of those Safelink phones. They asked for proof of address.. right. So I sent them a copy of change of address confirmation from the US postal service and a copy of the statement of my SNAP benefits. All with my name and address. I have never heard back. So I called them. They said it was rejected because I did not send in a gas bill, water bill, light bill or rental contract. Then she says to me.. we only use the SNAP benefits letter as a last resort. I told her.. well, thats why I sent those in. I have no ID or drivers license with the current address.. (I do not drive). I have no utilities in my name. Then she tells me oh ok.. then we will accept the SNAP letter. Please fax it or mail it to us. I said.. I DID!!!! Then she tells me I must do it again. Im like WTF!!!! So now I must fax or mail all that stuff again. Then she asks me why I do not have any bills. I said because I am living with someone else and am currently unable to work. Then I say.. Im 50 yrs old living with my mother and having to start over. I have nothing but food stamps. Is that okay with you!!? She says.. oh yes maam just fax us that letter again and you will receive your phone shortly after. DUH!!!!
