So, a young man named Devin M. from Learnington, Ontario wrote me a really touching letter that I got yesterday - so touching I decided to track down his parents and him on Facebook last night. At 14, Devin has faced a number of heart related problems and has already had open heart surgery. He posed me a number of questions which i will answer here because he also mentions being picked on by other kids at school. So my message to those kids is simple - people like me dont take the time to publicly acknowledge those who seek to boost themselves by victimizing others - those of us with the little blue checks next to our names frequently respond to those who do the opposite - those who overcome adversity with grace as Devin has, those who focus their energy on building up their peers rather than tearing them down. So theres my message to those who might seek to pick on kids like Devin. Question 1 - My Favorite Song: Its a tough one. I like so many songs and varieties of music Im not sure i have a favorite! Question 2 - My Favorite Singer: Tower of Power Question 3- My Favorite Movie: Glory Question 4 - My Favorite Guest: Not sure I have a favorite guest - there were thousands and each of them brought powerful stories I think helped those watching at home. Lets go with the concept im most proud of, and that is my living well with montel segment each Wednesday. Devin, keep doing you!
