So about this ebola thing... you wanna know why Im so angry? Im angry because first off, it never should have been allowed to make it here. Travel should have been stopped because infectious diseases should be quarantined so they dont spread further. Im angry because people are so dismissive of it. They seem to think that because we THINK we know all about it, that we can control it... that it wont mutate... that its impossible that we could be wrong or not know everything... Its our arrogance and lack of respect for something that could kill billions of people in the blink of an eye. No, I dont think we should panic and act like a bunch of crazy people running around in hazmat suits, but a little respect for Mother Nature and what could happen goes a long way. Theres an old saying... an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Preventing it from coming here in the first place and containing it in Africa would have been the thing to do rather than now have to worry about containing a worldwide outbreak.
