So, about today. I went to this event called Speed Casting where ambitious actors go from table to table and introduce themselves to also ambitious filmmakers. Most of them asked for a headshot and resume, which I dont have but its all a matter of time, right? I had a good chemistry with some directors, and no chemistry with others. One guy I met was somebody who participated in that movie with me, called Subterranean or whatever its called (who cares?). He was quite enthusiastic about me and even took a picture of me making serious face (or was it a dumb face?). One guy wrote me down as James Bond - watch out, Sean Connery! Or whoever else is James Bond these days. Before the event, while waiting in line, one lady, who was an actress, said I should try as a model (me??? model???). Well, maybe I could be a model in Franchise Tax Board, anyone more or less decent-looking will seem like a top model among those freak show characters... But its a different story. Later on, a friend of mine unexpectedly turned up in my house and asked if I would be interested to take part in chess tournament. I am more likely to win Oscar than chess tournament, thats for sure, although I quite like chess. I watched his game (it was hard to stay awake in that dark room) and then we took a bike ride which wasnt very comfortable ride in that heat, I had flashes of light in my eyes after that for a little while. After I had a little bit of rest, I went to theatre audition for that place called Red Bench Entertainment and I really really liked it. Its a small group, they have theatre performances in summer and some film projects in other seasons so I am definitely looking forward to work with them one way or another. The play is Little women and I read for two roles - gentleman and a father. One thing leads to another if you dont protect yourself. But I did a pretty good performance, Im getting better (I hope I do). So, yeah, Im excited, my weekends before were kinda boring and now I go out and do these exciting auditions - thats definitely an improvement, lets see what the future holds!
