So about todays game. Lionel Messi and Neymar were not their usual self. The defence was terrible in the first half with 3 of the 4 defenders receiving yellow cards in the first half itself. Like most other people Id blame Luis Enrique for his poor squad selection, and it was against a big team as well. Playing Busquets as the CM and Mascherano in the CDM did not go well at all. The absence of an attacking Midfielder like Ivan Rakitic was felt throughout the game. The flow in the midfield was adversely affected. We were lucky that Sergio Busquets found the back of the net late in the game. But this luck cannot be relied upon in all the Big games. The match was not easy, but the team did not do well either. Claudio Bravo deserves an appreciation for his incredible saves. Both his crucial saves on Negredo and Feghouli kept the game alive for Barcelona. Gerard Pique deserves a mention for his goal line clearance in the second half. The referees seemed intoxicated. They denied a clear onside goal. Last but not the least, Leo Messi received a yellow card for complaining the referee about being hit by a bottle. Well miss the title even this season if Barcelona continues to display such poor performances and barely manages to survive. Real Madrid is already rocking the charts. Its high time Barcelona starts playing football and utilise its gifted talents. Lucho cannot continue his experimentation and needs to have a fixed lineup and backup options including a solid Plan B. Lets just have our finger crossed and hope that Barcelona have a great game against PSG and can secure group Fs first position. #AB10
