So after a long stint at a+e last night, it looks like Ive had a serious toxic/allergic reaction to shiitake mushrooms. Im now am on steroids as well as antihistamines and creams. Cannot believe I ignored a fever, headaches, dizziness and the inability to breath properly/speak for 2 days last week, thinking it was just from over doing it or screaming at the gigs. Sometimes I wonder how Im still alive! Apparently its a rare reaction. The doctor said its unlikely hed ever see one again. Really hoping this rash is going to go away pronto!!
