So, after becoming a laughing stock yesterday at the marine drive, the sangh parivar-sdpi (someone has coined the term sanghudappi for the new combine) moral police has taken down the fb page of kiss of love, having more than 50000 members. Also, freethinkers page has been taken down yet again. This also raises a question about how facebook decides to take down a page after a flurry of report abuse requests. Do they check the content of the page? Wonder why they never take down pages like that of RSS spewing so much communal venom which even end up as riots. Maybe because liberals are not in the business of stifling free speech. But why would facebook close down a page so obviously named freethinkers? Are they pandering to the majoritarian tendencies of the indian state or is it just about the number of people who report? Anyway, head over to the new kiss of love page and support. The moral police is clearly rattled. Kiss of love is a win!
