So, afternoons in our house have been super hot and we have been leaving for a few hours to cool off. (The thermostat downstairs read as a high as 95 degrees.) Yesterday, when we came back and pulled in the driveway, we noticed all the windows were closed. Turns out that our neighbor, who fixes A/C and has been helping us try to get our unit through the summer, had noticed our open windows and come over and repaired our air conditioner while we were gone. We had thought he was still out of town on vacation so we had not even tried to contact him yet. He simply saw our need and came to the rescue. I feel overwhelmed with gratitude for his thoughtfulness and generosity with his time. When we opened the front door and felt the cool air rush to meet us, I couldnt keep the tears from my eyes. We are so blessed to have moved to such a beautiful place around such beautiful people.
