So an update on how we did at the race. On Saturday we were consistently in about 5th in class and 7th overall in lap times. The track was much slipperier this round then it ever had while weve been racing. Also to note everyone in our class ahead of us were on tractor tyres. Sunday was a different story. Out was so slippery that we ran off every lap. Heat 5 we swapped the front tyres over to some spares that had more tread but no tubes, near the end of the lap we lost a bead and ran off but managed to pull it back together to finish. We fixed that and pumped the tyres up to 38psi. Heat 6 we knew there was almost no hope getting into the finals so we went out there hard for fun and came off the track many times due to sliding out of control on the mud. Not sure what position we ended up it over all but I would say probably 6th in class. We bent the sump guard back on itself, dented the stump more (probably list over a litre capacity), flattened the exhaust to about 15mm thick, bent a radius rod, sagged the rear torsion bars, and may have bent something on the left hand front suspension. All up it held together remarkably well!
