So another story..... Im working on a customer Tahoe today Replacing all 4 hub assemblies, all 4 brake rotors brakes pads, brake calipers and caliper brackets and break lines also running a new e brake line. I had to run up to fire stone to get a part. Well in the just of me waiting for them slow people to give me my part I over hear one of their customers talking to one of the mechanics. She is describing a very known issue with the Mercedes car. A issue that most mechanics will be able to point out almost right away. Well as she is describing her issue the one guy is listening then he brings in two more mechanics to try and help. She finished telling what was wrong and you can tell from the looked they gave that they didnt have a Damn clue. Neither of them. So I waited to see what type of bullshit they were going to feed her and Damn it was the most stupid answer ever. Mercedes and a lot of other cars have crappy factory cps. Crankshaft position sensor. Basically you turn the key and the engine just turns and turns as if you have no gas or getting no sparks it happens cause the cps gets a lot of moisture and like all electrical things go bad. It lines up with the flywheel allowing the flywheel to sync with the starter and so on so forth. After I stop these fools from telling her some bullshit and break it down and explain it to them and their customer. the manger over hears the conversation and ask me if I would like to start working Monday morning. And the customer ask when will I be available to do the work....Lol moral of this..... just because some one puts on the clothes dont mean they can actually do the job.
